Considering John Wall's performance in the NBA Summer League and in the preseason so far, it looks like the Wizards did indeed get themselves a new franchise cornerstone with the first overall pick this summer. The Hawks on the other hand opened the preseason with a home loss versus the Memphis Grizzlies and looked a bit lost at the defensive end of the floor at times. That said, one should not overestimate the 26 turnover game last Wednesday as coach Larry Drew did not provide his starters with extended playing time. However, there is certainly a lot of pressure on franchise face Joe Johnson to lead the team to the upper echelon of the Eastern Conference, as the All-Star guard signed a six-year contract worth about $124 million in the off-season. Looking to find their rhythm as the preseason goes on, the Hawks will try to overcome the Wizards' young team around John Wall on Tuesday night.
