Celtics vs Chicago Bulls Live
On Tuesday night at midnight GMT the extremely entertaining first round NBA playoff series between the Boston Celtics and Chicago Bulls will continue with game five at Boston Garden. After a 121-118 double-overtime win on Sunday the Bulls are now tied with the defending champions from Boston at two games each.
Just like the previous games between these two teams, it came down to a one possession lead at the end of game four. Both teams missed crucial free throws down the stretch, but it was the Bulls who managed to take a five point lead with less than one minute to go in the second overtime. Although the Celtics came within striking distance after a clutch 3-pointer by Paul Pierce, they could not convert their final shot that could have tied the game.
Throughout the game the audience could watch the next chapter of the battle between two extraordinary point guards, Rajon Rondo and Derrick Rose. Rondo finished the game with another huge triple-double consisting of 27 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists. Despite turning the ball over seven times, Bulls guard Rose was only one assist shy of a triple-double of his own and had a total of 23 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists. Likewise, Bulls coach Vinny del Negro will be very content with the performance of the whole team since the scoring was distributed fairly even with seven players in double digits.
Considering that three of the four playoff games between Boston and Chicago were decided by three points or less, any prediction for Tuesday night seems to be very difficult. Even though Boston will most likely benefit from fan support on their home court, Chicago has shown in game one that they can perform in a hostile environment.
