With Carmelo Anthony on the trading block and several of Denver's starters injured, coach George Karl's squad is facing a difficult challenge early in the season. Yet, the Denver Nuggets will try to get off to a good start when they meet Chris Paul and the New Orleans Hornets on Saturday at midnight GMT.

While the Hornets might have acquired Marco Belinelli and Trevor Ariza in the off-season, New Orleans' preseason performance left much to be desired and indicated that the franchise from Louisiana might have a tough time in this year's NBA campaign. More specifically, Chris Paul and company struggled offensively, putting up just 88 points per contest. Albeit the Hornets can play much better than they did in the last weeks, it still appears to be questionable whether said improvement will be enough to make it to the playoffs in the competitive Western Conference. Nonetheless, New Orleans will be looking for a win at home when they face the Nuggets on Saturday night.
