Holding on to a disappointing 3-4 record, the Suns are having a tough time staying competitive with Amar'e Stoudemire out of the picture. Thus, Steve Nash and the Phoenix Suns will try to get to the .500 mark when they face the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday at 2 a.m. GMT.
While there is no doubt that Carmelo Anthony is still the heart and soul of the Nuggets, Denver also needs its front-court healthy sooner rather than later. More precisely, the Nuggets' performance increased drastically when Nene Hilario played his first game of the season which immediately resulted in a crucial win over the Los Angeles Lakers earlier this week. Therefore, one should not underestimate the Nuggets as they might be a much better team than their 5-4 record would indicate. Likewise, All-Star forward Carmelo Anthony continues to elevate his level of play, averaging 25.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals per contest. Taking everything into consideration, Denver could very well steal one on the road versus the Suns on Tuesday night.

After the departure of All-Star Amar'e Stoudemire, the Suns entered the preseason hoping for Hedo Turkoglu, Josh Childress and Hakim Warrick to fill the hole that Stoudemire left in Phoenix' offense. Yet, Turkoglu has been struggling to adapt to the Suns' system and the franchise from Arizona ended up losing five out of seven games so far. Thus, Steve Nash and the Phoenix Suns are hoping to get their act together when they play the Denver Nuggets on Saturday at 2 a.m. GMT.
While the future of Carmelo Anthony remains a crucial issues for the Nuggets, the squad of coach George Karl did not seem to be distracted by the trade rumors as they rallied to a 4-2 record in the first two weeks of preseason play. Much like in the past, Denver showcased entertaining, offensive-minded basketball and, more often than not, they steamrolled their opponents. Yet, the Nuggets' performance at the defensive end of the floor remains an area of concern as Carmelo Anthony and company allowed a whopping 106 points per contest. One bright spot was the development of guard-forward Aaron Afflalo who averaged no less than 20.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. Therefore, the Nuggets are very confident to secure another preseason victory when they meet the struggling Suns on Saturday night.

With just a few days left of regular season play, the battle for the second seed in the Western Conference finally is about to be settled. Thus, Carmello Anthony and the Denver Nuggets will try to put themselves in a good position for the upcoming playoffs when they take on the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday at 2:30 a.m. GMT.
Considering the cost cutting moves of the Suns last summer, it is certainly a surprise that the franchise from Arizona is right in the mix for home-court advantage in this year's NBA campaign. More precisely, Phoenix is tied for the third place in the Western Conference after winning nine of their last ten games. That said, it remains to be seen whether the Suns will be able to continue to compensate their defensive shortcomings by outscoring their opponents in the post-season. After successfully bouncing back from an eye surgery, All-Star forward Amare Stoudemire continued to dominate the low post area, averaging 23.0 points and 8.8 rebounds per contest.
Albeit the Nuggets were in a better financial position than the Suns during the off-season, the franchise from Colorado still had to get rid off some of their rotational players and entered 2009-10 with a very thin bench. However, Denver's draft picks turned out to suit them extremely well as both Ty Lawson and Arron Afflalo contributed nearly 10 points per contest. Likewise, point guard Chauncey Billups showed that he is not past his prime yet, putting up 19.6 points, 5.7 assists and 3.6 rebounds while shooting 39% from beyond the arc. Considering said circumstances, the audience can expect a competitive game between two of the best teams in the Western Conference when the Suns host the Nuggets on Wednesday night.
