Although the Pacers seemed to have a fairly quiet off-season, the franchise was able to pull off a major four-team trade just before training camp that sent Troy Murphy to the New Jersey Nets and brought back point guard Darren Collison from the New Orleans Hornets. Considering that Collison averaged no less than 19 points and 8 assists per contest in Chris Paul's absence last year, Pacers' fans are confident that he will lead the team back to the playoffs. Thus, the Indiana Pacers will face Yao Ming and the Houston Rockets on Saturday at 11 p.m. GMT.

The Rockets on the other hand are not merely hoping to make it to the post-season in 2010-11, but are looking to become a serious contender down the stretch. In this context, the key to success will most likely be whether franchise centerpiece Yao Ming can stay healthy and be an impact player night in and night out. Where as Brad Miller and fourteenth overall pick Patrick Patterson have been decent pickups over the summer, there is no doubt that Houston's performance will rise and fall with the performance of All-Star center Yao Ming. Similarly, it will be interesting to see whether Courtney Lee will be a better fit in Rick Adelman's offense than Trevor Ariza last year. Either way, the Houston Rockets will enter their preseason game versus the Pacers as favorites to secure a victory at Toyota Center on Saturday night.
