Apart from Ray Allen’s 25 points, there were few bright spots for the Celtics in their first round encounter with the Heat last weekend. Determined to pull their act together, the Boston Celtics will host Dwayne Wade and the Miami Heat at TD Garden on Sunday at midnight GMT.

Even though game one of the Eastern Conference Finals featured some questionable calls such as the ejection of Paul Pierce, the Heat deservedly won said match due to their hard-nosed defense down the line. However, there is no doubt that Miami will have to keep up its high level of play as the Celtics have shown in the past that they are going to battle for 48 minutes every playoff game and certainly have the talent to make life difficult for LeBron James and company. Therefore, NBA fans can expect another exciting match-up between the two teams with All-Star small forwards Paul Pierce and LeBron James going right at each other on every possession on Sunday night.

Considering that the Celtics made it all the way to the NBA Finals last season, the team around Paul Pierce is highly motivated to make another championship run in this year's NBA campaign. Having won six out of seven in the preseason, Boston has been playing excellent basketball and their off-season additions Shaquille O'Neal and Jermaine O'Neal will make their front-court even tougher in 2010-11. Thus, the Boston Celtics will face LeBron James and the Miami Heat on Tuesday at 11:30 p.m. GMT.

Unlike the Celtics, the Heat did not dominate the preseason but are still very confident to establish themselves in the upper echelon of the league once the season gets underway. After all, opposing teams are bound to struggle at the defensive end of the floor when Dwayne Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh are on the court together. Surrounding the three All-Stars by sharp shooters on the perimeter, the Heat should get plenty of open looks or easy isolation mismatches on most possessions. Therefore, basketball fans can expect a great game when two of the best teams in the East play each other on opening night.
