After resigning Dwayne Wade and acquiring fellow All-Stars LeBron James and Chris Bosh, there appears to be no doubt that the Heat are the best team on paper. However, the All-Star trio from South Beach has yet to show that they fit well together on the court. Thus, LeBron James and the Miami Heat are hoping to secure a preseason win when they face the San Antonio Spurs at AT&T Center on Sunday at 0:30 a.m. GMT.

In contrast, every one in the league knows what the Spurs are capable of and although franchise centerpiece Tim Duncan is slightly past his prime, coach Greg Popovich squad remains a very competitive team. Moreover, San Antonio was able to sign another serviceable big man as Tiago Splitter agreed to a three-year contract worth approximately $10 million. Similarly, the franchise got an excellent prospect as James Anderson surprisingly fell all the way to the twentieth first round pick. Therefore, it looks like the Heat might have more talent on board, yet the Spurs are the deeper veteran team and should be able to give Dwayne Wade and company a run for their money.
