While the Wizards might have been one of the worst teams in the last two years, things look like they are about to change in Washington. Most importantly, the franchise picked up number one overall pick John Wall this summer and is hoping for the rookie point guard to lead the team back to the playoffs in 2010-11. Add Gilbert Arenas and Kirk Hinrich to the Wizards' back-court as well as Andrey Blatche and Javale McGee up front and they have got a very athletic team with plenty of potential. Thus, Gilbert Arenas and the Washington Wizards will take on the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday at 11 p.m. GMT.
So far, the Bucks experienced a few injury related setbacks in the preseason as Carlos Delfino, John Salmons and Corey Maggette all went down injured. Yet, Milwaukee was still able to win two out of three and coach Scott Skiles saw his second unit step up to play enthusiastic basketball at both ends of the floor. Especially wing player Chris Douglas-Roberts showed that he could be a valuable scorer off the bench, averaging 11 points and 2 rebounds per game so far. That said, once Salmons and Maggette are back on the floor, Roberts' minutes can be expected to go down drastically. Either way, the shorthanded Bucks will be looking for another victory when they make their way to D.C. on Thursday.
