New Orleans Hornets v Dallas Mavericks Live
Trying to avoid a first-round match-up with the Lakers, the Hornets are under considerable pressure to get a win as they are getting ready to make some noise in the playoffs. Thus, Chris Paul and the New Orleans Hornets will travel to Texas to meet the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday at midnight GMT.
Even though it looked like the Mavs were settling for the third seed in the Western Conference, the recent struggles of the Los Angeles Lakers allowed Dallas to hang around and possibly clinch the second place on the last day of this year’s NBA campaign. Either way, Dirk Nowitzki and company appear to be ready for the playoffs as they won three straight last week while showing some solid team defense. That said, sophomore guard Rodrigue Beaubois still appears to be a wild card with equally erratic and amazing moments in 2010-11. However, coach Rick Carlisle can count on an extremely deep team and arguably the best bench in the entire league to put up some points in the post-season. Confident to finish the season with a home win, the Mavs will host the shorthanded Hornets on Thursday night.

Considering that the Hornets struggled a lot in the preseason, very few expected the team around Chris Paul to start the season with seven consecutive wins. Thus, the New Orleans Hornets will try to keep their winning streak alive when they visit the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday at 1:30 a.m. GMT.
Having won five out of seven games so far, the Mavs are very confident to stay in the race for home-court advantage in this year's NBA campaign. Especially their win versus the Boston Celtics demonstrated that Dirk Nowitzki and company can compete with other contenders and will be a tough team to overcome down the stretch. While guard Rodrigue Beaubois is still sidelined by a foot injury, veteran Jason Kidd is off to another great season, putting up 7.3 points, 10.9 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 1.9 steals per contest. Likewise, Dallas has one of the deepest benches in the league, featuring the likes of Jason Terry, Shawn Marion and Brendan Haywood. Therefore, NBA fans can expect an exciting game between the Hornets and Mavs on Tuesday night.
