Having lost six in a row, things have not been going overly well for the Kings in the last two weeks as the franchise from California dropped to a 3-7 record. Thus, Tyreke Evans and the Sacramento Kings will try to stop their losing skid when the New Orleans Hornets are in town on Sunday at 11 p.m. GMT.
After experiencing their first loss of the season versus the Mavs earlier this week, the Hornets wasted no time to bounce back as they won the second leg of their back-to-back versus Dirk Nowitzki and company. Holding on to an outstanding 9-1 record, New Orleans leads the tough Western Conference after three weeks of regular season play. Especially the Hornets' defensive efforts have improved drastically compared to 2009-10 as the team around Chris Paul has been holding its opponents to just 91 points per contest so far. Likewise, All-Star guard Chris Paul continues to be one of the most influential players in the league, averaging 17.8 points, 10.2 assists, 4.8 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game. Therefore, the Hornets should be able to overcome Kings if they keep up their high energy level at both ends of the floor on Sunday night.
