New York Knicks v Minnesota Timberwolves Live
After another season at the bottom of the league in 2009-10, the Wolves are about to see how another rebuilding experiment will pan out in this year's NBA campaign. Looking to make the most out of training camp and the preseason, the Minnesota Timberwolves will face Amar'e Stoudemire and the New York Knicks on Wednesday at 6 p.m. GMT.
Albeit the Knicks might not have been able to use their cap space to lure LeBron James and Chris Bosh to the Big Apple, GM Donnie Walsh received a nice consolation prize as All-Star Amar'e Stoudemire signed a five year deal in New York this summer. Moreover, the franchise managed to acquire point guard Raymond Felton from the Charlotte Bobcats as well as young power forward Anthony Randolph from the Golden State Warriors. Likewise, Ronny Turiaf and Kelenna Azubuike also left the Warriors for NYC and will provide coach Mike D'Antoni with two very serviceable role players in 2010-11. Considering that the Wolves did not make any major moves apart from trading for Michael Beasley, Amar'e Stoudemire and company will most likely be too much to handle for the Wolves on Wednesday night.
