Having experienced a slight setback due to a 120-99 home loss versus the Utah Jazz, the Thunder are highly motivated to bounce back with a strong performance this week. Thus, Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder will pursue a win versus the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday at 2:30 a.m. GMT.

Albeit most experts do not see the Blazers as a legitimate contender in the West, the team around All-Star Brandon Roy showed that they have no plans to leave the upper echelon of the league in 2010-11. While starting center Greg Oden might still be injured, Portland played some excellent basketball in the first week of play nonetheless, posting three straight wins before falling to the Chicago Bulls. Especially Brandon Roy has been a key factor early in the season as the 6-6 shooting guard has been averaging 23.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists while shooting 45% from beyond the arc. That said, the Blazers' match-up with the Thunder looks like it is going to be a difficult one since Oklahoma is one of the better defensive teams in the league and can count on Kevin Durant to take over when the game is on the line.
