Having won just two out of eight games so far, the Philadelphia 76ers once again failed to live up to their own expectations and might be bound for another year in the lottery. Nonetheless, Andre Iguodala and the Philadelphia 76ers will do their best to avoid another setback when they visit the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday at midnight GMT.
Considering that many experts around the league thought that the Cavs would be one of the worst teams in the entire league after the departure of MVP LeBron James, Cleveland certainly did a good job of proving their critics wrong so far. More specifically, the Cavaliers posted a 4-4 record to start the season and showed a solid team effort despite the apparent lack of star caliber players. At the defensive end of the floor, Anderson Varejao has been a key player for the Cavs, averaging 9.6 points, 9.4 boards and 2.0 assists per contest. Therefore, Antawn Jamison and company are very confident to defeat the struggling Sixers in front of their home crowd on Wednesday.

Even though most experts expect the Cavs to head straight to the lottery after losing LeBron James this summer, the team of coach Byron Scott played reasonably well in the preseason so far, posting a 3-1 record. Thus, the Cleveland Cavaliers will host Andre Iguodala and the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday at 11 p.m. GMT.
Where as the Sixers might have won just one out of four in the preseason up to this point, there were some bright spots nonetheless. Firstly, second overall pick Evan Turner has been improving drastically compared to his rather poor performance in the NBA Summer League. More precisely, the 6-7 guard has been averaging 10.0 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.8 steals per contest. Likewise, starting point guard Jrue Holiday showed some positive signs and recorded a triple-double versus the Toronto Raptors earlier this week. That said, forward-center Elton Brand is still a concern as the former All-Star continues to struggle in Philadelphia's up-tempo offense. Nonetheless, the Sixers could have a slight edge over the revamped Cavs if Andre Iguodala and company play up to their potential.
