Having won just 8 out of 17, the Suns are not exactly thrilled with the way things panned out in the first month of this year’s NBA campaign. First and foremost, Hedo Turkoglu was no suitable substitution for All-Star forward Amar’e Stoudemire and struggled to perform in Phoenix’s up-tempo offense around Steve Nash. Barely averaging 10 points per game, Turkoglu failed to push the team over the top and shot just 42% from the field. Likewise, the Suns’ defense once again was a disaster happening on a daily basis as the team from Arizona allowed their opponents to score nearly 112 points per contest. Therefore, Steve Nash and company will have to do a better job at competing at both ends of the floor when the Warriors are in town on Friday.
