Two weeks into the season, the Lakers have certainly been looking like they are ready to defend their title in this year's NBA campaign. More precisely, the team around Kobe Bryant won four straight to open the season and has been very dominant at the offensive end of the floor, averaging no less than 114 points per contest. Especially Pau Gasol has been terrific as the All-Star forward put up 24.3 points, 11.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game. Thus, Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers will try to secure another win when they host the Toronto Raptors at Staples Center on Saturday at 2:30 a.m. GMT.

In contrast, the Raptors won just one out of three games so far and are still looking for a new identity after franchise cornerstone Chris Bosh left the franchise from Ontario this summer. That said, their defensive efforts have been looking much better and young prospects Demar DeRozan and Sonny Weems showed a lot of potential. Nonetheless, the Lakers will probably be too much to handle for Toronto at this point and should be able to defeat Andrea Bargnani and company on Saturday night.
