Mike Miller and Jamaal Magloire join Miami Thrice
Where as Magloire is a second unit player, Mike Miller does in fact further push the team around Dwayne Wade and LeBron James towards the top of the Eastern Conference. Most importantly, Mike Miller is an excellent shooter, yet he prefers to find the open teammate and has proven to be an unselfish player on and off the court. Considering that Bosh, James and Wade are bound to take the vast majority of available shots night in and night out, Miller could turn out to be a great fit down the stretch. In 2009-10, the 6-8 guard-forward averaged 10.9 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists in 33 minutes per contest for the Washington Wizards. According to sources close to the Heat's front-office, Miller will receive a total of $25 million over the next five years.
Jamaal Magloire on the other hand will most likely be one of the players who will try to collectively fill the void at the center position left by Jermaine O'Neal who is on his way to Boston. Albeit not a starter, Magloire is still a veteran player who has demonstrated an outstanding work ethic and has been a positive presence in Miami's locker room over the past two years. Throughout his career, the 6-11 center has put up 7.7 points and 6.7 rebounds in 22 minutes per night.
